As we celebrate World Kindness Day, the faculty, staff and students at SES are exploring unique opportunities to show kindness in action every single day. Our first group effort to spread goodwill is the Hunger's Hard, Baking's Easy endeavor, which is so appreciated at this time of year. Thank you for your support!
The next Community Meeting will be on Friday, November 15, 8:20 AM. Our Main Presenters will be Mrs. Davida DeLena's 3rd grade class while Ms. Jenny Harper's 4th Graders will be hosting the Parent Pop Quiz. Please join us!
It’s Friday Activity Program time and we are excited that we can again provide this opportunity to our students. Program details and registration forms here: Friday Program Registration. Please get your registration in as soon as possible!
The mountain is about to open, so let's get our kids out there! We are looking for many volunteers for Friday Program to keep this program alive. There are opportunities to chaperone ski and snowboard groups, and help students with their gear in the classroom, to ensure that ALL of our students have a wonderful season. The Friday Program dates are: January 10, January 17, January 24, January 31, February 14, March 6, March 13, March 27. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated by our students and community.
Volunteer Perks: If you do not have an Epic Pass, you will receive a voucher to Stowe for every two times you volunteer. And don't forget the joy of skiing or riding with a group of eager students!
If you are interested, please fill out this form:
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Please consider supporting this incredible program!
Please update the dismissal plans for your child/ren in PickUp Patrol. In too many cases, default plans reflect old activity schedules and now that we’re transitioning from one season to another, they’re often outdated. Plan changes need to be input, also, as that's how we determine what children should be doing after school. Thank you for your assistance!
I am sharing the Counseling Groups Permission Form with all of you. Please read below to see what they are all about. If you are interested in having your child participate in a group with me, please fill out the form. If you are not interested, you do not need to do anything with this form.
You may request a paper version of this form if that is a format that works better for your family. Please call me or your child's teacher if you have any questions.
The PTO would like to thank everyone who participated in the Wreath and Citrus Fundraiser. It was a huge success and we are still counting orders! We exceeded our estimate and the final numbers were announced on Friday at community meeting! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Details around pick-up and delivery will be coming out in the next couple of weeks. Please be on the alert for a request for assistance with wreath and citrus management! In the meantime, though, mark your calendars for November 23, as that will be our big delivery day!
We have heard from some families that they are missing our past fall fundraiser of wrapping paper and gifts. If you are interested in purchasing wrapping paper or gifts, or have family members who wish to support SES in this way - we have an option! It is all direct order online (no paper order forms) and direct ship to home (no shipping to school for distribution). To order or share with family and friends, you need to register your student at www.charlestonwrapstore.com; our school code is 17299. From there you can send links to family and friends. As with any fundraiser, a portion of profits go directly to SES PTO and support our students.
Coming soon will be Art Card order forms!! Again this year our wonderful art teacher, Ms. Hoffman, has taken it upon herself to help your children create a special piece of art which can then be turned into special keepsakes. Customized order forms will be going home with your students in the coming days. There will be a quick turn-around on ordering to ensure that those who wish to receive their keepsakes before the winter break can do so. If you want artwork to arrive before the holidays, the HARD deadline is November 25th. You may still place an order after that date, but pre-winter break delivery will not be possible.
Thanks again for all the wonderful SES support! As always if you have questions for the PTO please reach out to us at [email protected].
There is a Box Tops for Education collection bin near the Main Office. If you've been clipping Box Tops, please bring them in and help generate funds to support our PTO's many projects and activities.
'Tis the season to give the gift of warmth!
The Youth Group at Blessed Sacrament Church would like to invite you to join our Warm Winter Clothing Drive for Lamoille County. Winter is approaching fast, and it's a great time to sort out your past season winter clothing collection and find a new home for those unloved, unused or grown-out-of warm winter gear.
By donating clean, new or like-new winter clothing, you are supporting adults and children within our own community, who are in in need of a helping hand to stay warm this winter.
We are accepting the following items in clean, new or like-new condition for adults and children:
Coats and jackets
Winter hats and beanies
Gloves and scarves
Winter boots and warm socks
Thermal base layers
Other warm winter clothing
Winter clothing items should be donated in clean (laundered), new or like-new condition. Clothing should function like-new (e.g. zippers should work; all buttons should be in place; no rips/tears; no large stains). Additionally, kindly check pockets for any hidden treasures before donating.
We are also seeking donations of general basics to help support those in need within our own local communities - particularly toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products etc. Or if you prefer to donate food (non-perishable) and household items, we can handle that too!
All are welcome to attend the drive on Saturday 16th November, in the Parish Hall from 10am-1pm, either to give or to take, or swap - drop an item and take an item!
Any items remaining at the end of the day will be redistributed specifically within Lamoille County to shelters, as well as people and families in need.
Drop off dates, times and more information here: Winter Clothing Drive.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
