SES Principal Announces Retirement

A Message from Superintendent Tracy Wrend

Marty Lacasse will be retiring from Stowe Elementary School at the end of the 2018-2019 school year.  She has served the students of the Stowe School District for the last nineteen years, and her presence at the school and in the community will be greatly missed. We thank Marty for her years of dedication and service to the children of Stowe and wish her the absolute best.

The school board is now preparing to make the very important decision of who will be the next principal at Stowe Elementary School.  The process is beginning now and will include the appointment of a committee to conduct the initial phases of the search process, facilitated by SMS Principal Dan Morrison.  The information from the search committee will direct additional exploration of candidates, and, ultimately, inform the decision of the board.  There will be a role for parents in the search process, and we will be providing additional information about opportunities as we finalize details.  Our goal is to appoint Stowe Elementary School’s new principal in Spring, 2019.

Please contact me at any point if you have questions, concerns or suggestions.

Best,
Tracy
