2019-2020 Scheduling Update

Next school year, Stowe Middle School will use student input to aid in the creation of each student’s personal schedule. Specifically, students will be asked to tell us about their personal interest in our elective offerings, including band, chorus, visual art, physical education, and design/technology education. Students were asked to fill out a form indicating their preferences during school today.

We wish to emphasise that these are subject preferences; a student’s preference does not guarantee placement in a particular course. That being said, we are excited to hear from students and will do our best to schedule everyone in a way that will excite and interest them as learners while maintaining our commitment to exploring a wide array of content areas and growing as learners.

To support our students, we anticipate offering a two week add/drop period in order to resolve any miscommunications or misunderstandings may arise.

We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.

Stowe Middle School will be hosting Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, March 20 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, March 21 from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Please click here to register for conferences with your student's teachers.

The 3rd Annual PLP Expo is fast approaching. The PLP Expo is a capstone event for Stowe Middle School students to share and present their learnings through a passion project. All students are expected to present or be available to participate in a display for a gallery walk.

Based on feedback from last year’s PLP Expo, we have decided to split the event into two nights. Our hope is that this will better accommodate the large turn out.

For 6th & 7th graders, the event will be on April 25 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

For 8th graders, the event will be on May 7 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

We highly encourage families to RSVP for the PLP Expo now! Click here to RSVP!

It’s almost Lacrosse season! Don’t miss out. Register now at for U13 and U15 girls and boys teams. Practice starts April 1st at the arena.
