Girls on the Run is coming to Stowe Middle School! The middle school program, “Heart & Sole” will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45pm-4:15pm beginnning on March 19. The culminating 5K will be held Saturday, June 1 in Essex. There is no cost associated with the program this year, and it is open to all girls in 6th-8th grade. No running experience necessary! Join Stowe Youth Cycling and Ranch Camp for a FREE bike maintenance clinic on Monday, February 18 from 4:00pm-5:30pm. This session will focus on mountain bike brake alignment, pad replacement, and rotor repair.
The TRIP Dance Company will be presenting its annual fundraiser at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center on March 22nd at 7:00pm & March 23rd at 3:00pm. TRIP is a non-profit competitive youth dance company associated with the Stowe/Mad River Dance Academy. Don’t miss seeing local dancers perform their award-winning dances! The PA baseball program is holding a baseball clinic for players ages 13-14 in the Spring. This is a great opportunity to sharpen skills before the baseball season begins.
There is no cost to attend any of the clinics. All clinics will be held in the PA Gym with instruction provided by the PA varsity coach and his staff, along with members of the PA varsity baseball program.

To meet Vermont Soccer Association’s spring league deadline, please ensure your child is registered no later than February 28th. We cannot guarantee we will be able to accept any late registrations. Stowe Soccer’s aim is to develop players’ skills and appreciation for the game of soccer all while having fun.
This year the spring season will start with Turf Time at Stowe Arena on Fridays included in your spring registration! Dates will be announced soon!

The spring season is a competitive program playing in the Vermont Soccer Association league. We play against competitive teams and travel up to 90 minutes to games for at least one game a week. This program is geared towards players looking to challenge themselves against other experienced players. The Vermont Soccer League age groups are based on birth year as shown below:

Permission to Stay at the Mountain Form: If your student is skiing or snowboarding during Friday Program this year, and would like to stay at the mountain after 2:45pm, please click here to print and complete the Permission to Stay at the Mountain Form. This form was also sent home with students on Monday, December 10.
This form must be returned to Ms. Nicole if your student would like to stay at the mountain after the first day of Friday Program. Students only need ONE signed form for the entire year.
After discussions with students, parents, teachers, etc. we are to providing a revised cell phone procedure at Stowe Middle School. This procedure has been shared with students by their TA. It has also been sent to students via email.
STUDENT CELL PHONE USE: Students may use their cell phones before 7:55AM and after 2:30PM.
VISIBILITY: Cell phones must be stored in bags or lockers between 7:55AM and 2:30pm. Please avoid pockets, hoodies, etc.
Students may email facilities ([email protected]) if they would like to request a lock for their locker.
1st Offense: Phone turned in to the office. Students may pick up the phone at 2:30PM.
2nd Offense: Phone turned in to the office. Parent may pick up the phone in the office.
WHY: Teachers have reported an increase in cell phone distractions. Students have reported that they are checking their phones for updates, etc. We would like to minimize the distractions and increase learning. Thank you!
Parents can reach students during school hours by emailing them, calling the office, or sending them a message to be checked after 2:30PM.
The Stowe Public Library will be closed until further notice due to building damage. We will update families when the library re-opens. Thank you for your understanding.
