There will be a School Dance at Stowe Middle School on Friday, October 25 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. There is a $3.00 entry fee. This dance is only open to students of Stowe Middle School.
Stowe Middle School is currently looking for one boys basketball coach and possibly one girls basketball coach (registration pending) for the 2019-2020 middle school season. The first day of practice begins on December 2 and the season concludes on February 15. Games and practices will only be held on school days and are Monday - Thursday. Home games and practices (practice times will fall within the 4:30pm-7:30pm time frame) are held at Stowe Elementary School. Leigh Pelletier has submitted her resignation from the Lamoille South Unified Union School District (LSUU) Board of Directors effective October 8, 2019. Leigh has served as a member of the SSD board since 2018 and the LSUU board since 2019. The board is grateful for her dedicated service on behalf of the children and communities of Stowe, Morristown and Elmore.
The Lamoille South Unified Union School District Board of Directors will appoint a replacement to fill the vacancy until the next regular election on Town Meeting Day, March 3, 2020. The replacement must be a legal voter in the Town of Stowe, be able to attend board meetings and other school and public functions as needed, and demonstrate commitment to the best interests of all children.
The board will interview candidates in open session and appoint a replacement at their November 4, 2019, meeting. Interested candidates should contact LSUU Administrative Assistant Lisa Cross at (802) 888-4541 or [email protected] to arrange an interview with the board or for more information.
Homework Club will take place Monday-Thursday in the Learning Center from 2:45pm - 3:45pm.
Helen Day Art Center is now offering Drop-In Day Wednesdays from the end of the school day until 5:00pm. The $20 drop-in fee includes a healthy after school snack with great spaces for relaxing with friends and low-key art time. Located right above the Library, students can bus to SES and come on in! Call Helen Day Art Center by 1:00pm the day of and pay at pick up! We hope to see you there!
